I was sitting there scanning through blogs and articles when I came across this article by a phenomenal woman who in my opinion has her “stuff” together. She was trying to find her inner power and discovered you can’t find that on Google.
That’s when it hit me. That is exactly what I’ve been doing!
Okay, I haven’t been looking for my inner power. I’m not even sure I know what that means. But I was looking for some secret magic pill none the less. Only I didn’t realize it.
I “relaunched” my blog several months ago with all these great intentions. And then life happened. Work got busy, then the holidays were hectic, and soon my blog became a ghost town. But through all that time I still managed to read blog posts about marketing, click on articles on Facebook about motherhood, and do searches for random things.
What I was looking for can’t be found on Google. There is no magic pill.
It also can’t be found in a blog post or some other article. I don’t need Google to tell me how to be a good mom. I don’t need emails to tell how to write my story on this blog. I just have to get out of my own way and do it!
I didn’t realize that I was searching for something until I read that article. So now I’m back to blogging. I’m committing to doing less research and more action. I’m going to parent my kids the way my intuition tells me, not some website. I’m going to be me.
What about you? Do you find yourself looking for something, anything, to tell you that you’re doing a good job? I think I have spent more hours on Pinterest looking for interesting projects than actually doing a project. Are you spending your time searching instead of just being or doing?
